1910 at Spanish City have launched a gorgeous new menu for Spring with 2 courses for £32 and 3 courses for £36!
Only a 25 minute drive from the centre of Newcastle, Whitley Bay’s seaside town boasts a stunning coastline and plenty of bars and eateries. 1910 itself is a beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views out across the sand and sea which makes it perfect for a special occasion or if you just fancy treating yourself!
The twice baked cheddar cheese soufflé which comes with a refreshing pear and walnut salad on the side has been perfected by 1910’s chef over the course of many years so it’s definitely one to try – light and airy with a rich cheese sauce. Fish soup meanwhile with mussels, scallops and king prawns, has real depth of flavour and comes with DIY croutons which you can spread with rouille sauce and mountains of grated cheese for some divine dunking.
The sea bream main – fresh fish served with brown shrimps on top and a brown shrimp butter, come with sautéed potatoes and tender stem broccoli – a lovely light dish, complimented by chantenay carrots on the side.
From the specials menu, pork belly has that fall apart with the fork texture and a good layer of crispy crackling…
And dessert – well you just have to go for the crème brûlée – it’s one of the best we’ve had – 10/10 for the crack of the caramelized top, and soft silky vanilla flavoured custard.
Amongst the other new dishes is the half lobster with queenie scallops and tiger prawns, and the praline chocolate sphere with hot chocolate sauce poured over – on the list for our next visit!
A good wine list, those stunning views and attentive service – what more could you want?! Book now on the 1910 website.
