MY&SANNÉ is our favourite new hangout for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, coffee or cocktails! Injecting some pzazz into Brompton Road, this Mediterranean inspired meeting place is the perfect diary addition for catch ups with friends.
Make sure your phone has been fully charged, because there are plenty of pretty photo opportunities as soon as you step through the doors! What you will notice first though, is the huge glass cabinet filled with the most delightful looking cakes you’ve ever seen. From cheesecakes to chocolate cakes and macarons to meringues, the key is most definitely to LEAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT, because not being able to manage one of these delights would be a crying shame.
While MY&SANNÉ’s ceiling is absolutely covered in hanging plants and pretty foliage, bathed in twinkly lights along with floral wall displays and Instagram friendly backdrops for posing for photos, the food and drinks also match up to the hype.
Starting with cocktails, we’d already clocked two girls at another table with some theatrical looking drinks, so naturally, we needed to try them for ourselves. The aptly named Blue Bird arrived in a basket – a glass bird brimming with a punchy combo of vanilla vodka, lime, Blue Curaçao, yuzu, fresh blueberries and Cointreau. This had been our tester as a hair of the dog remedy, and satisfied that the cocktails were to our taste, we went on to order the Monkey Punch (Monkey Shoulder Whisky and Amaretto based), a delightful tiki themed treat, and the signature MY&SANNÉ– a candy floss coloured coupe filled delight which was devoured in minutes.
MY&SANNÉ’s food selection is well thought out and while there’s a separate breakfast menu served in the mornings with smoothies, juices and the saliva inducing French toast brulee with caramel, or wooden baked chorizo paprika salsa (to name just two), we ordered from the lunch/dinner menu. With Mediterranean inspired dishes to match their interiors, there are Greek, Italian and Asian influences throughout. A lip smackingly luscious prawn bao bun had plenty of seafood stuffed in it and an addictive accompanying mayo, while plumped up vividly coloured padron peppers made sure we got our greens. The mains are all very different and so it took us a while to decide what our taste buds might fancy. Sticking with the seafood theme, I went for the burger stuffed with plenty of deliciously fresh crab in a dreamy brioche bun, while my friend opted for the classic black Angus burger served with French fries and onion rings. There was so much filling, it took a knife and fork to eat it! Other dishes I had my eye on (and would love to try next time) include the truffle lasagna and homemade tagliatelle with pulled lamb shoulder, spinach and saffron pecorino – how good does that look?!
Yes MY&SANNÉ places huge emphasis on its interiors to pull you in, but rest assured, the food is also great quality, the cocktails are dreamy and the staff are so friendly, it could very quickly become your weekend regular. Check them out their website here and their Instagram here.
