If you’re an avid fan of hair extensions or indeed you’re new to the game, hair, spa and beauty salon Beauty & Melody, Marble Arch is quite literally a ‘game’ changer when it comes to tape hair.
Having personally worn hair extensions for 20 years on and off, it’s no lie to say that the Russian tape hair extensions I had fitted at Beauty & Melody are unlike any I’ve had before.
Let’s talk about the quality first of all. Their Slavic tape hair is the mother of all extensions when it comes to the luxuriousness of each strand. Ethically sourced, you know exactly where they’ve come from and the exact grade in terms of superior finish.
Second of all, the actual tape which is how the hair is attached to your own, can be very hit and miss depending on where you get your extensions from. They can feel heavy – weighing the hair down, they can be far too sticky, making them impossible to get out, or worse yet, they can be of very poor quality and slide out easily – much to your disappointment when you’re on a hot date and five fall out in your hand. However, Beauty & Melody’s tape hair extensions have gotten the balance just right.
Now we all know, extensions take a bit of time to put in. While tape extensions tend to be faster than other methods, you still want nice surroundings in which to relax, of course. Beauty and Melody’s salon is a pleasant two minute walk from Marble Arch tube station at the top of Oxford Street. And not only is the location incredibly convenient, but the salon is stunning. Modern, stylish, quirky and cool (with an actual grand piano in the centre), you know when you step through the doors that you’re going to be well looked after.
And well looked after you are. From the initial consultation through to the fitting and aftercare, Beauty and Melody sure know their stuff. During consultation, they’ll look at the condition of your hair and its quality, they’ll talk you through various colours and what you’re looking to achieve in terms of thickness, length and volume and then they’ll match you up accordingly.
They’re a busy salon, so you will need to book in advance, but should you be so lucky to get booked in for your fitting just two weeks after you consultation, you’ll have a luxurious hair wash, massage and blow dry (plus removal of any current hair extensions), and then the new ones are attached to your normal hair.
In case you’re totally new to tape hair extensions, they’re completely pain free, attach with ease and are virtually undetectable in the hair. They’re also totally light weight, so much so that you actually could forget that you’re wearing them! Within an hour, you’ll be rocking long luscious locks of the highest quality.
Having tried all types of hair extensions over the years, I can honestly say that this hair is the easiest to blow dry and style, owing to its extremely high quality. It also comes with a 2 year warranty if you continue to use Beauty & Melody’s service for fittings. You’ll need the tape taken out, re-taped and re-fitted after approximately 8 weeks.
The salon specialises in both tape and micro-ring hair extensions. A full hair of 22 inch Slavic extensions at Beauty & Melody (pictured) is £910. See the full price list for details and then get booking. A gorgeous new you is just waiting to be unleashed!
