Always dreaming about those beautiful English countryside Manor homes and gardens? Well here’s one to add your bucket list and it’s pure English class.
Mallory Court Country House Hotel and Spa is in the heart of Warwickshire. In a great location, it’s close to many attractions including a castle, a museum and lots of historical towns. Perfect for any occasion whether it’s a girl’s spa trip or perhaps a family weekend away, there’s definitely something for everyone! The perfect example of a quintessential English House, Mallort Court is an absolute gem if you’re a fan of luxury timeless interiors and award-winning dining and gardens.
The hotel is set in 10 acres of charming green grounds. Its gardens are a spectacular feature and perfectly maintained. Roses in bloom, freshly cut grass, afternoon tea on the terrace overlooking the divine landscaped garden… What more could you wish for in the gorgeous English countryside?!
As you step through the front door it’s like walking into a movie. The Lutyens style hotel has beautiful interior. Deep rich wooden walls fill the rooms with classic luxury, complimented by gold and glass finishings. The hotel has 45 blissful bedrooms across the Manor House, Orchard House, and the Knight’s suite with a tranquil spa hidden away in the depth of the peaceful garden grounds allowing you to unwind amongst nature by the outdoor pool, and relax on the sun loungers.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed and offered help with our luggage before being shown to our room with smiles in every direction as we wandered around the hotel. The grand staircase in the main manor house was very impressive, a stunning feature surrounded by luxurious royal blue printed wallpaper.
We stayed in Eastcote, a Manor House Master room with a garden view and it was breathtaking. The room was a very generous size with a large king size bed and comfortable setting with those beautiful views. This room also benefits from a family bathroom with a separate toilet, a light up wardrobe and not forgetting a great size hallway. Definitely big enough for the three of us!
Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa is also known for it’s award-winning dining, with many enjoyable choices of dining, from afternoon tea to fine dining.
After freshening up, we headed down for dinner in the divine dining room. There were plenty of delicious dishes to select from and the service was impeccable from the moment we walked in. We ordered wine for the table to keep the night flowing and the waiters gracefully kept us topped up.
The appetisers and table bread arrived whilst we awaited our starters. We began with the pressing of ham hock apples, walnut ketchup and pickled shimeji mushrooms’and the salted baked sand carrot goats curd, pesto, duhkka and nut oil dressing with truffle honey – both delicious and full of colourful flavours.
For the mains we enjoyed aged fillet of beef, braised ox shin and alliums in Maderia sauce, along with roast cauliflower with spiced lentils, fruity curry sauce, golden raisins and lilliput capers. We finished with some pretty deserts that looked too good to eat! It was a fantastic dining experience – fit for a king.
We ended the evening with a calming walk exploring the magnificent grounds and sensational views.
Mallory Court can also accommodate weddings and business trips, and I can say it would make someone’s wedding day very special. Plus, it’s also dog friendly, so, your furry friends can enjoy the stay too!
Highly recommended, I wish I was sitting in the wonderful gardens whilst I write as I found I could relax completely in Mallory Court’s Country Gardens. It really is an exquisite place, one of the best countryside trips in the UK. Click here to explore and book your stay.
