Bankside, London is the new home of weekend brunching, where Art Yard Bar and Kitchen offers a brunch experience that transcends the typical weekend affair. The restaurant’s flowing interior bathed in natural light, sets a relaxed and comfortable tone and creates an inviting atmosphere to eat and drink in style! Stunning wall panels (and the curated selection of local artwork which is available for purchase), injects a unique artistic flair, while the clever use of light streaming through expansive windows, illuminates the space.

But it’s not just the aesthetics that impress; Art Yard’s bottomless brunch offering is why we’ll go back again and again (we must try the rest of the menu such as the Burford Brown Bennies – Art Yard’s twist on the classics with croissant bases.) To start we opted for the Art Yard hummus and delicious, crispy, and very garlicky garlic bread, and the Cornish crab. Delicate and succulent and a portion that amply fed two of us (served on crisp Romaine lettuce with lashings of parmesan and salty anchovies), we ate ours by making little lettuce and crab tacos and eating by hand. Lush.

For the mains, we ate the very beefy burger and sirloin steak tagliata with truffle dressing. The burger, double patties with good char, gooey cheese (on each pattie) and crunchy salad all wrapped up in a soft brioche bun was tremendous. The steak was cut ‘tagliata’ and served under a hefty layer of rocket, parmesan shavings and truffle dressings with our chosen side of truffle fries. It was soft, melty and filling.

For those seeking a celebratory start to their day, or if you’re there for an occasion, you can indulge in 90 minutes of delightful free-flowing drinks for an additional £26pp. Choose from classic mimosas, crisp prosecco, the blush-toned rose prosecco, or the more robust bloody Marys. For those opting for a non-alcoholic brunch, the crafted spritz options provide a refreshing alternative. On our day, the rose prosecco ran dry but it was swiftly replaced by a rose Champagne. Now that’s great service for you.
We visited Art Yard Bar and Kitchen towards the of March and at the time of writing, we’ve discovered they’ve just launched a brand new Spring menu. Bottomless options still apply, but you can now get your chops around spicy shakshuka with sourdough, avocado and burrata on toast, and a Philly cheesesteak with French dip among the options.

The relaxed, refined ambiance makes Art Yard Bar and Kitchen ideal for a leisurely catch-up with friends, a romantic brunch date, or even a casual business meeting. The restaurant also boasts a private room available for hire – perfect for larger gatherings and special occasions. It has successfully created a space where great food, nice drinks, and beautiful design converge to surely make this a top destination in Bankside’s vibrant dining scene.
