Some hotels are all about the ‘relax and unwind’, but W London in the heart of Soho recharges your energy and opens your mind to new possibilities as soon as you saunter past that sparkly W at the door. After all, you’ve got your best rockstar life to live in the vibrant, happening capital!
Don’t get us wrong, W London has also got the chill vibes just right with the AWAY Spa which is perfect for pampering and preening, but trust us – when you hit the lobby full of glitter balls, you’ll feel a renewed vigour to take on the world!
In other hotels, you might reserve the ‘cosy room’, the ‘standard room’ or the ‘premier’, but as you’ve probably guessed by now, W London does things differently. Grab your key card and enter possibly the coolest rooms you’ve ever stayed in – all with names like ‘fabulous’, ‘wonderful’ and ‘spectacular’, just like you.

These refurbed rooms make incredible use of the space. You’ll find your spacious rainfall shower and toilet immaculately packed away behind the walls. The double slider wardrobe reveals coffee and tea, fluffy robes, slippers, towels and a very large umbrella (well, it is London after all..)
No doubt you’ll be wondering what’s with the designer spiked cushions? Well, a collaboration with the very cool Jack Irving means you’ll be taking photos of this thing all night and you’ll be amazed at what happens when the flash goes off!
Every room is kitted out with the highest tech including an advanced tablet for ordering room service or booking a massage, and controlled room lighting. No need to flick multiple switches trying to work out how you turn that darn lamp off, you can go from day to night to party to moody at the flick of a button! There’s also a flatscreen TV (although you won’t have time to watch that), a sound system, and even a bar because, this is the W.

Of course London has a plethora of exciting restaurants and bars on the doorstep but there’s really no need to venture out when you have Asian fusion deliciousness at the W Lounge with a tasty selection of nibbles like satay skewers, crispy tempura, chicken ramen noodles and the chunky charcoal burger. The Perception Bar and club is decked out with the swankiest interiors – think edgy futuristic design with metallic finishes, sculptural furniture, ambient mood lighting and fancy light fixtures. The double height club also features what has to be London’s largest glitter ball so you can get your groove on as the DJ belts out the beats.

Jetlag meant we got to experience margarita pizza at 3am, while our breakfast brought to the room at 8.30am was a great start to the day with fresh juices, granola and yoghurt and a breakfast bun stuffed with bacon and egg.
If you’re a fan of W Hotels in general then you’ll know to expect the unexpected, while always being a hotel you’ll love. Glitter vibes, cool Britannia, cutting edge tech and slick, stylish rooms you’ll have to be forced into leaving! Check out the glitz and glam here.
