The Good Front Room is returning, and this time it’s here to stay! Chef Dominic Taylor, winner of Five Star Kitchen: Britain’s Next Great Chef, has opened a permanent home for his modern Caribbean concept in Dalston Square. Expect bold, joyful plates rooted in heritage, from rum & raisin pork belly and escovitch wild hake to whole jerk chicken for sharing, plus killer rum punch. Set in a vibrant 80-cover space next to Dalston Junction, this is soulful Caribbean cooking done with heart, memory and serious flavour.

One of our faves has had a refresh. Fulham favourite The White Horse – aka The Sloaney Pony, has just re-opened following a full refurbishment, bringing a new look and a new food offering. Alongside the buzzing main bar, a calm first-floor dining space now serves elevated British pub classics, from beef tartare and brick chicken to prime British and Irish steaks. To celebrate, enjoy three courses for £36pp, weekdays from 9th February to 7th March. From gossip-fuelled Unfiltered Girls Night to music trivia and wordplay games, it’s fun with polish. Soho’s modern British spot, Nessa, has launched an Express Lunch Menu, Monday to Friday, offering two courses for £28 or three for £35. Perfect for busy days, it serves bold, seasonal dishes with British and global influences. Starters include beetroot and fig salad or pumpkin and spelt risotto; mains feature roast West Country lamb or wild mushroom ravioli; and desserts range from sticky toffee pudding to ice cream. Walk-ins are welcome at this stylish all-day Soho restaurant.

Jumeirah Carlton Tower is bringing a slice of la dolce vita to London with A Taste of Capri, a limited-time dining residency running from 6th February to 8th March. Curated by two Michelin starred L’Olivo’s Salvatore Elefante and Jumeirah’s Andre Migliaccio, the five-course tasting menu showcases Capri’s sun-soaked flavours, from Italian-sourced olive oil and lemons to Pierre Hermé’s signature profiteroles. This February, The Nest at Treehouse London launches its Moon Manifestation Series, an intimate rooftop experience blending guided workshops, crystal energy, moon gazing and bespoke cocktails with the Psychic Sisters. Kicking off on 10th February, Manifestations of Love explores self-love and romantic connection, featuring one-to-one crystal readings, mezze boards and themed cocktails like the Ruby Red.
