Oh Tequila. It makes us Happy. Here’s Luxe Bible’s top 3 places to slam tequila in London.
Slam Tequila in London at Tonteria
Party all night on the Tonteria Express! A dark, Mexican cave hidden in a Sloane Square basement where you’re bound to see the odd gimp mask, semi-naked ladies and oh so much tequila which is delivered to your table via a toy train which does the rounds on a track in the ceiling. A celeb hotspot which also does a darn good tapas menu early eve, it’s all aboard…
Slam Tequila in London at Cantina Laredo
You’ll find London’s only dedicated guacamole and tequila bar at Cantina Laredo in Covent Garden. Traditional Mexican grub with a modern twist, there’s all kinds of guacamole like Grasshoppers with Grilled Avocado prepared theatrically by the in-house ‘Gaucamaestro’. As well as signature cocktails and a tonne of amazing margaritas, there’s also an innovative tequila infusions menu. Think Jalapeño and Serrano Ambar Reposado, or Chocolate and Hazelnut Don Julio Añejo… Enough to get your lips smacking for sure.
Slam Tequila in London at La Bodega Negra
La Bodegra Negra is Soho’s worst kept secret (if you’ve heard of it that is)… The neon sign outside says Sex Shop, but descend the stairs and you’ll find yourself in a den of Mexican iniquity filled with duck tacos and tamarind salsa, slow roasted lamb barbacoa and mouthwatering tostadas. Wash it all down with their ridiculously massive list of awesome tequilas! Splashng out? Sip a bottle of the Don Julio 1942 priced at a cool £380, or slam the reasonably priced El Jimador Silver at £8 a shot. Then move onto the mezcal – rinse and repeat.
