Vicino
Vicino on the New King’s Road with its authentic Mediterranean feel, hand painted artworks and a fun buzzy atmosphere, is a great place for a Friday night dinner with friends.
With one aim to deliver simple Italian food with a Tuscan feel, head chef Marco Moscolini has been making his mark in this neighbourhood restaurant since 2011.
Go for the signature lobster which comes in fresh from Billingsgate Market – a taste explosion with white wine, garlic, olive oil and a hint of chilli and wash it down with a bottle of Gavi di Gavi batasiolo – Piemonte 2014 (£33).
From sharing starters like Calamari e Zucchine Fritte with tartare sauce to prawn and asparagus skewers in an arabiatta sauce (Spiedini di Gamberi e Asparagi), you’ll be impressed with seasonal flavours, while stand out mains include Ravioli di Cinghiale e Crema di Tartufo wild boar ravioli with black truffle sauce (£11) and the Breaded Veal Escalope with pomodoro sauce (£16.50).
Vicino is perfect for informal dining in a sociable, trattoria style setting.

Boma on the Green
Boma on the Green has it all. With live music sets on the weekends, a great cosy bar area and restaurant out back, it’s a great local hang out.
With starters including chilli and garlic squid, Thai Chicken Skewers and Soft Shell Crab, all dishes are fresh and locally sourced. Mains include the impressively tasty signature Boma Burger which is something of a favourite, along with Red Thai Curry and Miso Glazed Salmon.
The dining room is cosy and inviting with plenty of natural light coming in from the glass panelled ceiling, while the walls are decorated with hanging art works which are available to buy.
After dinner, head through to the front bar area and grab an Espresso Martini – they are to-die-for..
Megan’s on the Green
‘Posh kebabs’ are the must-order item at Parson Green’s latest addition to the food scene. A stone’s throw from both Parson’s Green tube station and local pub The White Horse (aptly nicknamed The Sloaney Pony), Megan’s on the Green is already making an impression with its delicious open kebab plates featuring beautifully soft lamb or chunky chicken loaded onto flatbreads laiden with all manner of salad and fresh tomato sauce.
Pretty fairy lights and white roses adorn the ceiling of this farmhouse style restaurant with open kitchen, making it the perfect stop off any time of the day or night.
