Luxury meal kit deliveries from some of our fave restaurants have transformed lockdown living when it comes to a special evening in. From fancy Fitzrovia to the comfort your own kitchen, The Ninth at Home have prepared an incredible feast, doing all the legwork before your dishes arrive, so you enjoy a Charlotte Street restaurant dining experience in minutes, with very little prep.
Bringing their signature style to each carefully packaged item in the meal kit, you can expect a three course meal which shines with both simplicity and French flair from celebrity chef Jun Tanaka.
The Ninth at Home Meal Kit Prep
All you need to do is take everything out of the box and match up the coloured dots for each course! You’ll receive the ingredients, a menu and an A4 sheet with all of the cooking instructions on. There’s three different mains to choose from – Lamb, Delica Pumpkin and Seabream, and you’ll be guided through whatever you’ve ordered with the prep taking only 15 minutes or so from fridge to table!
The Ninth at Home Starter – Pickled Carrot Salad
It’s amazing how easy it is to unleash a bit of creativity when you have a load of gorgeous, brightly coloured ingredients to play with! Mixing together the radicchio and the pickled carrots, as this is of course a cold dish, our starter was ready in minutes. Snipping the end off the bag that the goat’s curd came in meant you could essentially pipe it onto the salad. The tarragon and hazelnuts went on top with a few carefully placed carrot ribbons, and voila. There’s so much flavour in this dish alone, you could eat it as a main, punchy and moreish.
The Ninth at Home Main – Delica Pumpkin
Sweet and buttery, Delica Pumpkin tastes amazing and most of the work has been done for you so all you need to do is put in the oven at 180 degrees for 8 minutes! Microwave the super tasty cous cous, add the pumpkin on top and decorate with chimichurri and slathers of yoghurt. The combination of all the flavours together is absolutely dreamy – the fragrant cous cous, the nuttiness of the pumpkin and the sharp hit of the chimichurri work in harmony, while the yoghurt stops it from being too dry a dish.
The Ninth at Home Dessert – Manjari Chocolate Fondant
What a way to end a gorgeous meal. The chocolate fondant in its foil pot is ready to hit the oven for 10 minutes. Turn over onto a plate and hopefully it will stay in tact for added Instagram points! Cut into it and the chocolate oozes out, restaurant style. This is a rich, decadent dessert and the creme fraiche accompaniment is just what’s needed to balance it out. Soooo good.
