This first venture outside London for The Blues Kitchen will see a live entertainment programme seven nights a week! Summer of Love at The Ivy Spinningfields
Re-opening on May 17th across all three floors, The Ivy Spinningfields will be bursting with colour and scrumptious cuisine and cocktails thanks to their new 60’s themed ‘Summer of Love’ summer dishes and drinks.
The pea velouté (pictured) has definitely got our attention, while other delights for diners include Côte de Boeuf and Strawberry Ice Cream Sundae. The brand new bespoke cocktail list will offer up thirst quenching treats like ‘This Bird Has Flown’ a heady mix of Haku Japanese Vodka shaken with mint, lemon and sugar and topped with chilled Prosecco and the Woodstock Old Fashioned made with Makers Mark 46 Bourbon.
Society Manchester
All day drinking and dining space Society Manchester is the place to be! Featuring five independently owned kitchens offering a range of food, a cocktail bar and specialist taproom from Vocation, you’ll be able to feast on every kind of burger at Slap & Pickle, pan-Asian treats from Manzoku Street Food and fresh stone-baked pizzas from Dokes Pizzeria (the guys from Elnecot).

Boujee Manchester – The Terrace
They had us at ‘boujee vibes’. The most Instagrammable terrace possibly in the whole of the country, Boujee Manchester follows in the footsteps of its cool Liverpudlian sister. Founded by Real Housewives of Cheshire’s Lyra Adams, you’ll want to grab selfies aplenty on the pretty-in-pink Boujee terrace which is now open seven days a week 12pm – 11pm. With small plates of pork souvlaki, hummus, steak and pulled lamb on the menu along with dirty loaded fries on the side, you can wash it all down with French Martinis, Bahama Mamas and Pink Coladas, while the sharing cocktails like ‘You’re Punchin’ – a fruity little mix of vodka, watermelon syrup and cranberry will keep you hydrated all day! Book here and check out details of their epic Boujee Beach Club on Sunday 2nd May here. Tickets are £400pp.
Delhi House Cafe Manchester
Delhi House Cafe opened in August last year, and well, we all know the story… This gorgeous new family-run modern Indian restaurant at the Corn Exchange is redefining the scene when it comes to cool Indian cuisine, with a delicious menu of contemporary dishes. Showcasing ‘what India eats today’, you can look forward to an authentic spin on the classics with some true dish-disruptors including burgers with authentic Indian flavours, and beef kebabs served on tandoori naans. What’s more, their new terrace (open now), overlooks Cathedral Gardens for stunning views, while you tuck into street food treats, and hearty mains like butter chicken tikka masala. The Lamba family are especially proud of their interiors which were sourced from India – not the easiest thing to do during a pandemic! Book your spot here.
MOTLEY at QBic Manchester
The hotly anticipated opening of Qbic Manchester is just around the corner and while we can’t wait to stay in their stylish rooms, we’re also very excited to check out MOTLEY. With a ‘saints and sinners’ inspired theme and eccentric interiors, this social space is the place to eat, work and play, and you can even bring your dog! With a 70 seater outdoor terrace which opens on May 1st, there’s heaters and awnings should the weather turn awry, and guests can enjoy an all day menu. By night, MOTLEY will transform into a fun cocktail bar featuring gorgeous drinks, draft beers, a (mainly) vegan wine list and seriously cool vibes. Head Chef Nacho Llinares (previously of Iberica), has put together a fuss free menu featuring burgers, open flat breads, garden spaghetti and sustainably sourced fish tacos. There’s also space for private events and get this, a karaoke. Count us in! More details here, Instagram here.
Six by Nico ‘The Circus’
‘Roll up, Roll up’ Six by Nico have revealed their latest offering with a cool six courses inspired by THE CIRCUS! This delicious spectacular will be available from Monday May 17th to Sunday June 27th but we know how it goes, so best to book in now! Including a chicken liver parfait based ‘Waffles and Ice Cream’, ‘The Illusionist’ chicken ballontine with crushed artichoke and brown shrimp, ‘A-crab-atics’ crab tortellini (we see what they’ve done there…), and ‘The Greatest Show’ with smoked cep mushroom, black truffle emulsion and crisp king oyster. You can check out the full menu here. Priced at £37, bookings are now open!
Mount Street
No sooner had Mount Street at The Midland Hotel flung open its doors, it had to shut them again! Taking over from Mr Coopers, Mount Street has new interiors and a new in-house butchery and smoker for the ultimate in flavour and texture when it comes to their menu. In the style of the modern British dining room, Mount Street will focus on locally sourced ingredients in a luxurious setting. With oak panelling and art deco lighting, the interiors fit in nicely with the history of the hotel, while the menu will offer up beef Wellington, an extensive range of grills, and dessert like Chocolate Flamed Alaska. The bar will also be open to those who just fancy stopping by for a cocktail, wine or beer. Check out the website to book.
Ducie Street Warehouse
One of the only places in the city offering staycations in April, Native Manchester’s luxury apartments are open for business! Meanwhile, Ducie Street Warehouse which occupies the ground floor space has revealed its new urban South-facing terrace – a relaxed hangout with all day menu which serves a smaller selection of the main menu. With ex Lowry hotel chef Andrew Green heading up the kitchen, you can expect great sharer dishes and large plates as well as signature foccacia Romania flatbreads. From May 17th, the entire space will open up including its indoor restaurant offering, entertainment, resident DJ’s and curated takeovers.
