If living in lockdown has had you craving the company of a cute pooch, then you’re not alone! But if you rent a home where you’re not allowed a pet, then the first ever dog meditation video from SpareRoom, will make sure you get to experience all of the virtual benefits!
The guided session was recorded by Luxe Bible’s Founding Editor in Chief Ashleigh Whitfield who is also a voice over artist and BBC TV announcer. Through the five minute guided meditation video, viewers are invited to free the mind and enjoy some down time, while the images highlight the therapeutic effects that dogs can have on our state of mind.
Proven to relieve stress, dogs can have a positive effect on our mood, so watching gorgeous pooches sleeping, playing and running will allow viewers to experience a sense of calm as they focus on the thoughts and emotions evoked by these gorgeous animals.
SpareRoom’s meditation video, aptly named ‘Care of the Dog’ was developed with Clinical Psychologist Dr Cinzia Pezzolesi to give viewers some of the benefits of owning a pet, while the relaxing voice over will lull participants into a relaxing state.
SpareRoom Director Matt Hutchinson said “There’s so much research to show that pets have a calming effect on people. but we also know that it can be incredibly difficult for renters to find places that accept pets. So, we put together a video to let anyone, whether they own, rent or share their home, to experience a little of that calm”.
