What is it about Afternoon Tea that’s so darn delicious?! Is it the dainty sandwiches, the luxurious fillings for freshly baked scones, or the naughty glass of 2pm fizz?! For all AT addicts, here’s Luxe Bible’s brand new favourite festive Afternoon Teas.
Festive Afternoon Tea at The Athenaeum Hotel
Any excuse to get us back through the doors of one of Mayfair’s finest establishments! We’ve also sampled more than our fair share of Afternoon Teas at The Athenaeum Hotel, so we KNOW a) how many separate sandwiches we can get through and b) how good they are.
Tuck into this indulgent feast which includes scones, sandwiches like the Cumbrian beef and Coleman’s horseradish, and dessert delights such as cranberry macaron, clementine and white chocolate trifle and Christmas meringue and cinnamon tart. We can feel the calories creeping on just by reading the menu, but everyone knows that in December, they don’t actually count…
£39 per person or add on a glass of fizz (prices vary), or bottomless Prosecco which is just £10 for 90 minutes of festive free flow. A range of black, white and green teas are also available. Read the full menu here and book here.
Christmas Afternoon Tea at Strand Palace

If you’ve left room, you’ll love the snow white lemon meringue tart and Christmas fruit cake with jam, marzipan and icing, along with traditional mince pies and scones! And of course it wouldn’t be afternoon tea without the optional glass of fizz – add on a Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut for an extra £10.
