Some hotels are just a little more special than others and staying at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square was one of those memorable experiences, blending modern luxury with the charm of one of London’s most prestigious addresses.
The location is literally unbeatable for exploring all that London has to offer. Right in the heart of Mayfair, the hotel is steps away from Oxford Street’s legendary shopping and a stone’s throw from beautiful Hyde Park. The hotel has also just celebrated its 40th anniversary and with it, a massive renovation which included a redesigned lobby, upgraded club lounge and updates to the meeting and events spaces.

The Deluxe Suite at London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square
Comfort is the number one priority for us when staying away from home. Well, London Marriott’s hotel suites definitely have that one covered. The open-plan design gave a sense of flow and space, and we loved the unique bathroom feature – a sliding door which separated the bathtub from the main room. It just had that rock star element and if you’re paying to stay in a suite, you expect those little quirks and extra luxury. Our beautiful deluxe also came with a private balcony terrace, making it a perfect spot for morning coffee, or a breath of fresh air right before bed.

The Restaurant – Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill
To start, we ordered buffalo fried chicken from the snacks menu, which was crispy and packed with flavour, alongside a gambas pil pil from the starters section – sizzling prawns with just the right kick of garlic and chilli.
For the main course, we went all out with the Fiorentina sharing steak platter from the Wagyu and large cuts menu with steak cooked to juicy perfection and packed with rich delicious juices and flavour. The sides were equally fabulous – crisp golden chips, silky spinach and truffle gratin with the most deliciously intense truffle flavour, and we couldn’t resist ordering a fresh spinach gnocchi with peas, broad beans, herb butter, and plenty of parmesan.
Dessert was a classic sticky toffee pudding with milk ice cream, which arrived beautifully presented and was as decadent as you’d hope. We paired the meal with a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (Greywacke), which was crisp, aromatic, and a perfect match for the richness of the dishes.
If you’re spending a leisurely afternoon at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, we’d definitely suggest indulging in the signature Beef Wellington for two. With a 45-minute cooking time, it’s a dish worth the wait — we watched another table enjoy it, and it just looked incredible. This meal was one of the standout meals of our trip, not just for the food but for the vibrant yet intimate setting the restaurant created.
Facilities at London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square
Beyond the room and restaurant, the hotel itself offers a wide range of facilities that add to the experience of staying in a property of this calibre – it is five star after all. The M Club Lounge deserves another mention here, as it set the tone for our stay with its complimentary refreshments and stylish interiors. For those who want to stay active, the hotel’s leisure club is open 24/7 and well-equipped with everything from treadmills and free weights to rowing and elliptical machines — ideal for keeping up with a routine while traveling.

Although we didn’t have time to try them all, the hotel boasts several additional dining and drinking options that highlight its appeal to both guests and locals. The Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay brings contemporary Asian flair, while the Luggage Room Bar is an award-winning speakeasy that transports visitors back to the glamour of the 1920s. There’s even a new Luggage Room Café, which offers coffee, light bites, and bistro-style dishes in a casual yet stylish setting. This variety makes the hotel feel like more than just a place to stay — it’s a destination in itself.
From the elegant suites to world-class dining and thoughtful facilities, the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square offers the complete package. It’s rare to find a hotel that balances such a prime location with genuinely memorable guest experiences, but this hotel really does. Whether you’re visiting London for shopping, culture, or a touch of luxury, this hotel is an excellent choice — and one we’d return to without hesitation. Book your stay here.
