The Spirit of Summer has arrived with the new Radio Rooftop Terraces – the perfect cool, stylish summer hangout for delicious drinks and killer views across the capital.
Luxe Bible visited on a surprisingly sunny night (given the recent weather), so Radio Rooftop’s terraces were accessible via the fully open glass floor-to-ceiling doors, making for awesome vibes at one of London’s most luxurious bars.
With not one, but two stunning creative spaces on offer in which to enjoy some mouth watering refreshers, decide on your mood and then head for either the Mexican Hacienda, or the English Botanical Garden.
With gin cocktails the perfect cooler for a hot night on Radio Rooftop’s terraces, we headed straight for the ‘country garden in the sky’ to indulge in thirst quenching cocktails all priced at £16 each in the Bombay Garden. With all cocktails boasting a base of Bombay Sapphire, we loved the ‘Summery & Light’ – a delightful mix of our fave gin topped with Double Dutch cucumber and watermelon tonic, followed by the heady ‘Spiced and Delicate combo of Star of Bombay with spices and oakwood tonic, garnished with star anise and orange peel.
Sat in the azure blue summer house surrounded by foliage and summer plants, with a quintessentially English feel, we supped on our drinks and devoured the Anglo-Indian Tapas Board. This sharing board priced at £27 is a great accompaniment to the delicious cocktails. We tucked in to gin and blackberry cured salmon atop fresh sourdough toast, grilled chicken tandoori skewers smothered with a lavish horseradish cream dip, crispy cauliflower manchurian with coriander seet yoghurt and mango chutney, and our favourite – the Bombay potato scotch egg with perfectly soft runny yolk inside.
For groups, the Botanical Summer Garden is perfect. Take advantage of the Bombay Garden Experience (£75 per guest for a minimum of 6) where you’ll get to privately enjoy the immersive terrace for two hours with a bottle of Bombay English Estate, a selection of Double Dutch mixers, garnishes, botanicals and three food sharing boards.
Mix things up at Radio Rooftop by popping across the busy bar area to the Mexican Hacienda terrace to indulge in tequila based cocktails and margaritas with Patron where a tropical terracotta cabana complete with cacti, awaits.
