Estrella Galicia’s Gastronomy Month – September
Get your tickets now for the UK’s biggest Spanish food festival! Taking place from the 1st – 30th September, Estrella Galicia’s Gastronomy Month includes tapas tours across the country, cooking masterclasses, beer and a bite at 65 venues, free events which will teach you how to pour a pint like a pro and lots more besides. Miro – New
Miro has just opened on Burlington Street on Mayfair at the site which was formerly Street XO. This opulent, contemporary restaurant, bar and lounge features global cuisine from Exec Chef Toby Burrowes (previously Zuma London and Michelin starred Elystan Street). Expect small plates of king crab and confit garlic croquettes, truffled cheese toasties and Miro’s take on fish and chips, along with caviar pasta. A £3000 sunken treasure chest is Miro’s most talked about dish – containing a kilogram of caviar, blinis, mini croissants and mini brioche buns plus an array of desserts. Vibrant interiors, neon artworks and hand painted murals make Miro a Mayfair must-visit.
Champagne Afternoon Tea for Afternoon Tea Week at The Ivy
It’s Afternoon Tea Week from the 8th to the 12th August and here’s how to do it in style. Laurent Perrier Summer Afternoon Tea at The Ivy Chelsea Garden is from just £28.95 per person, or for £37.95 includes a glass of Laurent Perrier Rosé Champagne. Enjoy treats like Ivy Cure smoked salmon and cream cheese fingers, grilled chicken and truffle mayonnaise brioche, followed by freshly bakes fruit scones with clotted cream and fresh strawberries. Finish off with Madeline cake or red velvet raspberry cake and a strawberry milkshake! Then there’s teas, infusions and coffees.
At The Ivy Asia, expect afternoon tea with a twist! How about aromatic duck spring rolls, vegetable dumplings with spicy sauce and salmon cream cheese and cucumber rolls among the delights? Follow with mocha ice creams and warm passion fruit and coconut doughnuts (we are drooling here), plus teas, coffees and infusions. £26.95 per person of £35.95 with champagne (min 2 people).
The Cadogan Arms Summer Beer Festival
Beer fans are in the luck as The Cadogan Arms in Chelsea is teaming up with the official London Craft Beer Festival for four days of celebration in the name of the best of British brewing!
From 9th – 13th August, there’ll be Meet the Maker sessions, plenty of gorgeous grub and a choice of 20 exciting brews, along with 5 cask ales. Tickets are £45 and include 10 half pints and a swag bag to take home! Click here for the deets.
FIEND and Friends
Celebrated chef Chris Dennney is inviting guests to join him at his restaurant and bar FIEND on Portobello Road as he shares his kitchen with other highly acclaimed chefs. On 6th August, Chris has invited Gareth Ward of Michelin starred restaurant Ynyshir in Wales to cook a meat heavy menu which is guaranteed to be a meal to remember! Megan’s on the Jetty
Popping up this summer next to Battersea’s outdoor cinema, Megan’s on the Jetty is your got to for takeaway frozen cocktails, honey glazed halloumi fries and buttermilk fried chicken! The Battersea Power station location is the perfect place to take in epic views across the Thames while enjoying a frosé, fraperol spritz, cocktails, wine or beer. open from Tuesday to Friday, 4 – 10pm & on weekends from 11am – 10pm. GŎNG at Shangri-La The Shard’s has teamed up with Latin American spirit brands Diplomático Rum and Canaïma Gin for a Tropical Oasis high in the clouds! The lush Amazon inspired vibes continue throughout the bar and into the Sky Pool area where guests can enjoy a range of gorgeous new cocktails.
