Summer Nights in Vegas at 100 Wardour Street
If you’re not heading to Vegas this year, let 100 Wardour Street bring it to you! Summer Nights in Vegas will run until the 9th September in collab with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Cîroc Vodka. With not-to-be-missed mixology and chef pop-ups from Vegas’ most renowned restaurants and even a wedding chapel, you’ll get to ‘roll the dice’ every Monday and Tuesday to win prizes. Barbie Cocktail at Savage Garden
Think pink this month with the new Barbie movie at cinemas from 21st July. To celebrate, you’ll be able to indulge in a gorgeous cocktail at cool rooftop hangout Savage Garden called ‘Dance the Night’ created by mixologist Mario Giaconia. In it, you’ll find Lanique Spirit of Rose, Lillet, strawberry, almond syrup, bubbles and a candy floss garnish!
Disco Drinks at Swift with Amaro Santoni
Get involved in Thursday night takeovers at Swift Shoreditch between 8pm – 12pm hosted by DJ Vivien Solak with the Amaro Santoni cocktail menu including some pink faves to celebrate Barbie! As part of their Disco Drinks night, you’ll get to enjoy these exclusive cocktails for just £12 each or all 3 for £30. Searcys at the Gherkin’s Summer Pop-up with Tarquin’s Cornish Gin
Searcys at the Gherkin has been reimagined for summer boasting its own beach hut bar, a botanical wall and a striking Tarquin’s tower featuring the gin’s iconic blue bottles. Guests will be able to indulge in limited edition G&T serves from Tarquin’s Cornish Gin, like rhubarb and raspberry, or Cornish sunshine blood orange, while there are also surf-board platters available. What’s more, there’s a special gin masterclass with founder Tarquin Leadbetter on Wednesday 26th July from 6.30pm with a bespoke sampling session priced at £79pp. Check out the website for details and tickets. Menawhile at St Pancras Brasserie by Searcys, you can now enjoy brunch and live jazz with a special Sunday menu launching on 9th July. Expect unlimited buffet and waffle stations, paired with free-flowing champagne and live jazz music from the restaurant’s resident musicians.
Wiltons Collab with Savour Festival
Savour Festival is taking place from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd July at Royal Hospital Chelsea and this year, you’ll be able to enjoy freshly shucked oysters from Wiltons – one of London’s oldest and most revered restaurants. The restaurant’s Assistant Manager and Oyster Master Tommaso Sicuro will be on hand with the oyster barrow, offering attendees the chance to sample between 12-6pm on Friday and Saturday and 12-5pm on Sunday. Morris Australian Single Malt Whisky is Shaking up Summer
If you’re into your single malts, Luxe Bible reckons you need to get this one in you summer drinks cabinet pronto. Morris Australian Single Malt Whisky has launched two core expressions – the Morris Whisky Signature and the Morris Whisky – Muscat Barrel.
Made at the world-renowned distillery and crafted from 100% local Australian ingredients, the award-winning Morris Whisky is finished in fortified wine barrels for a truly unique flavour using 100% premium Australian malted barley which is distilled with pure water from the Snowy Mountains and matured in wine barrels sourced from the family-owned Barossa and Coonawarra wineries.
From the Signature Whisky you can expect an orchard fruit profile, with black cherry and biscuit notes balanced with zesty marmalade jam and a hint of cocoa. Wimbledon at The Ivy Café
You can always rely on The Ivy Café Wimbledon to get you in the swing of the tennis season. This year they’ve teamed up with Sipsmith for a range of mouthwatering cocktails as well as the irresistible signature dessert – the Centre Court Melting Bombe.
Amongst the six serves there’s the ‘Serve it and Smash Strawberry & Mint Martini’ which features the classic Sipsmith London Dry Gin, mint syrup, strawberry puree, topped with Champagne and garnished with cracked black pepper and a strawberry (£12.50), and the ‘Game, Set, Match, Rose and Strawberry Spritz’ with Sipsmith Strawberry Smash Gin and rosé liqueur (£12.50). The Sipsmith cocktail collection is available until 16th July. Meanwhile, the Centre Court Melting Bombe features a crisp white chocolate shell and shortbread, topped with warm strawberry puree, poured to melt (£12.95).
New Opening – Lórian
New restaurant, bakery and deli Lórian has opened on Chelsea’s Sloane Street from the team behind Notting Hill’s Laylow – Taz Fustok and Jonathan Krauss. With head chef Emily Dobbs at the helm in collab with Johnnie Collins, the invigorating ever-changing menu will showcase ingredients in their simplest form, using seasonal produce championed from their cherished suppliers. Seasonal salads will be piled high on the statement marble counter for diners and passers by to take their pick, while there will be apple tart and Neal’s Yard crème fraiche for dessert or a rotation of cakes from the talented Lauren Duncan, founder of Presto London.
New Opening – Fazenda Now Taking Reservations
Premium South-American restaurant group Fazenda has debuted its London menu with reservations now open to book for the launch in Bishopgate on 2nd August. The 170 cover restaurant will feature three luxurious private dining rooms, a mezzanine lounge and expansive standalone bar and lounge with alfresco tables available. Showcasing the essence of traditional South American grill and the Rodizio concept, the new menu has taken inspiration from Exec Chef Francisco Martinez’s recent trips to Brazil and Argentina with starters set to include Gamba Patagonica (giant king prawn, spicy chimichurri), Caviar e Churros (Cornish Baeri caviar, churros, creme fraiche), and Wagyu Crudo (A4 grade wagyu beef tartare, charcuterie). Main dishes include standout plates like Pasta de Beterraba (beetroot tortellini, orange, feta cheese), Moqueca de Mar (cod, carabinero prawn, mussels, tomato, coconut), and Truta (Scottish trout, piquillo peppers, onion, creme fraiche). Fazenda centres around a passion for the highest quality of meats and freshly prepared sides, served in the authentic Rodizio style (a unique method of serving a variety of grilled meats carved at the table). There are 12 premium grilled meats available on the menu. Meanwhile Carroll Design have created an elegant and stylish space transporting guests to a high end South American bar and restaurant. A large selection of the finest Argentian, Brazilian, Chilean, and Uruguayan wines, as well as a carefully curated bespoke cocktail menu will also be offered.
New Opening – Lanique Spirit of Rose Street Bar at Bourne & Hollingsworth Fitzrovia
Bringing flavours of the ocean to Fitzrovia, the Lanique Spirit of Rose Street Bar has opened at Bourne & Hollingsworth Fitzrovia. Transporting guests to the sea under scalloped umbrellas with a seascape backdrop, you’ll be able to soak up the sun and enjoy bespoke cocktails like ‘A Rose a Day, Oysters Away’ made with Lanique Spirit of Rose with gin, nectarine liqueur and Bonanto Aperitivo, topped with prosecco and served in a handpicked shells with a scoop of homemade pomegranate and rose sorbet. The Lanique Street Bar at Bourne & Hollingsworth will also be popping up at Cocktails in the City in Bedford Square on 6-8th July, 17th-19th August and 7th-9th September.
New Opening – 64 Old Compton Street
Following in the footsteps of celeb fave and family run Italian restaurant 40 Dean Street, 64 Old Compton Street is now open, transporting diners to the heart of Italy through its thoughtfully crafted dishes. The dining room, half hidden by a café curtain exudes the mischief of Soho, while the menu is divided into three sections – cold, fritti and baked; pizzas & salads and pasta, and risotto and oven. We love the sound of the indulgent pappardelle beef ragu and creamy spinach ravioli with ricotta truffle and mushrooms along with the mushroom and truffle pizza as well as piadina bread with Parma ham, mozzarella, rocket and pesto. New Bottomless Thursdays at Bocconcino
Get the weekend started early with a new offering at Bocconcino. The Bottomless Bubbles and Sharing Menu will be available every Thursday from 7pm with authentic dishes and 90 minutes of free-flowing bubbles while the DJ plays upbeat house tunes. The five course sharing menu will showcase dishes like Andria burrata with baby plum tomatoes and pesto, and arancini rice balls of the day followed by a middle course of homemade pasta such as cacio and pepe. The main event is the Roman style wood-fired pizzas where you can opt for a fiery Diavola or the Melanzane e Stracciatella with fried aubergine, stracciatella cheese and parmesan. New Opening – Manzi’s
The end of June saw the long awaited opening of Soho’s Manzi’s this July – from The Wolseley Hospitality Group. The reimagination of the London institution offers up the very best in seafood and fish, bringing with it a hedonistic escapism in a relaxed, timeless setting. The restaurant which famously served Londoners off Leicester Square for more than half a century, has some of the old favourites on its menu like moules marinière, a wide range of crustacea and a ‘catch of the day’. Manzi Specialities meanwhile, include Monkfish Wellington and The Cioppino Fish Stew. The décor, by Fabled Studio, will see the hedonistic escapism that the original Manzi’s was known for, reimagined in a modern, glamorous guise, with mermaids and mermen, and nautical adornments and abundance of sea creatures against a colour palette of soft blues, whites and elegant sea greens.
