‘City Isles’ – Madison x CÎROC Summer Terrace
Madison which boasts one of the best terraces in London has cosied up with our favourite vodka brand CÎROC to bring ‘city isles’ style Ibiza beach club vibes to its rooftop. Rattan daybeds, sofas and chairs will blend into the backdrop of palm trees, planters and foliage, and who could forget that epic view of St. Pauls?! We can’t wait to try the Champagne Colada made with CÎROC Vodka, Koko Kanu Rum, toasted coconut and brioche cream and Champagne – just one of the brand new limited edition cocktails on offer. There’s DJs every day from 4pm for proper City Isle vibes, and DJs along with saxophonists on the weekends from 12pm – 1am. When you can’t jet off to the Ibiza, let it come to you!
Celebrate Summer Solstice with Nuet Aquavit (24th June)
Award winning Nuet Aquavit (a refreshing Scandi gin alternative), has hit the UK and is causing quite the stir! With Summer Solstice a big celebration in Scandinavia, Nuet is the perfect drink to raise a toast to Midsummer with, and you can try it at bars across London! Try a special Nuet cocktail at 10 Degrees at Galvin at Windows at the London Hilton Park Lane, or at the Ekte Nordict Kitchen at Bloomberg Arcade on Saturday 26th June, while Callooh Callay in Shoreditch will also be serving up their take on milk punch (Nuet, milk, bourbon) from 24th – 27th.
New – House of JÖRO, Sheffield
We are desperate to visit Sheffield and this is the reason – House of JÖRO. This boutique hotel with just four exclusive, beautifully styled rooms, has a 10 seater chefs table in its restaurant. Rick Stein, Jack and Charlie Kick off Week Long Residency at The Goring with a Q&A (14th June)
Lunch cooked for you by Rick Stein. Count us IN. From Monday the 14th June, Rick Stein and his sons Jack and Charlie will kick off their residency at The Goring with a lunchtime Q&A. Cooking up delights like Whole Dover Sole meunière with noisette butter and Tronçon of Turbot with Hollandaise sauce, a series of lunches and dinners will take place across the week in The Goring’s secluded garden. Blue Minds Exhibition (24th June – 6th July)
Blue Minds’ fully immersive exhibition will feature a collective of 26 globally recognised contemporary creatives who have been inspired by the ocean, whilst highlighting why a healthy ocean matters. Taking place at the Blue Minds gallery at 127 Sloane Street and in association with the Blue Marine Foundation, the events program will include curatorial conversation with artists Emma Critchley and Mariele Neudecker on 25th June, a talk with Jasmine Harrison about her rowing expedition across the Atlantic, and Art Experiences workshops on the 5th and 6th July.
Visitors will also be able to see the stunning ‘Wearable Art’ jewellery collections – with collabs between Elisabetta Cipriani and Rebecca Horn as well as Ai Weiwei, and Shaman hand-painted coats from London based artist Aigana Gali as part of her ‘Manifestations Art Couture Project’. 15% of proceeds from the Blue Minds exhibition will go straight to the Blue Marine Foundation.
New Vegan Restaurant in Knightsbridge – Holy Carrot
Holy Carrot! Is that a new vegan restaurant at Urban Retreat?! Using ethically sourced seasonal produce, Holy Carrot which is located within the leading beauty and wellness destination will ensure you feel healthy inside and out! Fresh juices, smoothies and cocktails include the Dream Green (£8) made with spinach, kale, cucumber, avocado, vegan protein and flaxseed as well as the Rose Negroni (£11.50), expertly created using VII Hills Gin, rhubarb liqueur, Little rose and Rose Vermouth. We can’t wait to try the Sexy Tofu, (organic glazed tofu with an aubergine, red pepper & peanut sauce) priced at £15 and the Raw Red Pepper Burrito (£9).
New HUŎ Bar & Restaurant on Chelsea’s Park Walk
You had us at Stir-Fried Beef Fillet with Spicy Black Pepper Sauce! From the team behind ULI in Notting Hill, HUŎ Bar & Restaurant is offering up fresh and healthy Asian cuisine at its brand new venue on Chelsea’s Park Walk. At the bar, there’ll be Japanese whiskies (including some of the rarer serves), along with vodkas and craft beers, plus a reduced menu so you can enjoy the food without moving from the stunning high counter top areas.
The Mandrake’s Artist Cabanas and Jurema Re-Opening
How much do you want to eat here? Quite possibly London’s sexiest hotel, The Mandrake, opened four cabanas last year, which have now been spruced up by individual artists to bring the vibes of its awesome Jurema terrace, inside. The private spaces cater for up to six, and the re-imagined menu comes courtesy of Yopo’s head chef George Scott Toft who has created a sustainable selection with vegetables from Natoora, meat from The Ginger Pig and fish from Wild Harbour.
Inspired by Toft’s travels through South America, you can look forward to dishes like salt cod croquetta with piquillo pepper, octopus, artichoke and olive empanada, fresh ceviche and tacos, plus a range of stunning cocktails from the Waeska Bar. Lockdown has been long. Treat yourself!
Kusama Inspired Art Afternoon Tea at Rosewood London
If you want to experience desert like never before, then you need to head over to Rosewood London where the Mirror Room has re-opened with a stunning Art Afternoon Tea, inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s sold out exhibition at the Tate Modern. The new menu from Executive Pastry Chef Mark Perkin comprises three courses: traditional sandwiches, classic pastries, followed by Kusama inspired cakes. They look far too good to eat… but we know what’s going to happen!
Openaire Float-in Cinema by Häagen-Dazs
The UK’s very first cinematic experience on water has returned for another year, with screenings running Wednesdays to Sundays every week for four weeks throughout June. With a fleet of 16 GoBoats and 100 deckchairs, you’ll be able to watch epic movies from the water, or on the banks of the Regent’s Canal with Häagen-Dazs on hand to keep you cool as you chill out in style. Boats hold a maximum of eight people priced at £240 per boat (that’s only £30 per person), or you can grab a deckchair for just £17.50. Six Course Special Menu with MasterChef The Professionals 2020 Winner Alex Webb, and Oliver Gladwin at Sussex Restaurant
On Wednesday 23rd June at Sussex restaurant in Soho, MasterChef: The Professionals 2020 Champion Alex Webb will be joining forces with the Gladwin Brother’s Chef Patron Oliver Gladwin, to create a one-off six-course menu celebrating the best of local summer ingredients.
