Taste of London

It’s our fave foodie festival and it’s back! Taste of London returns to Regent’s Park from 18th to 22nd June 2025 for five days of feasting, fire and flavour. Festival-goers can expect exclusive dishes, gourmet BBQ bites and over 120 creations from London’s top chefs and restaurants. Alongside delicious eats, there’ll be hands-on masterclasses, live demos and chef showcases, all set to a summer soundtrack of DJs and entertainment. New for 2025 are Guy Ritchie’s Lore of the Land, TĪNG at Shangri-La The Shard, Pan-Pacific fusion spot Los Mochis, Akira Back at Mandarin Oriental, The Campaner, Empire Empire, Bambi, and Smoke & Salt. Franco’s Toasts Summer with Free Prosecco

Celebrate British summer sporting traditions in style at Franco’s in St. James’s. Mark the summer solstice with a joyful Midsommar celebration at Ekstedt at The Yard, the Westminster restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Niklas Ekstedt. On 20th and 21st June, guests can embrace Swedish tradition with flower crown making, a welcome Pomelle Spritz, and a five-course Nordic fire-cooked feast
Highlights include dill-cured trout with smoked cream cheese and pickled apple, and traditional Swedish Köttbullar, finishing with a dessert table of clotted cream gelato, preserved strawberries, and Swedish sweets. Father’s Day at Brasserie of Light with Jo Malone Gifts

This Father’s Day, Brasserie of Light invites guests to celebrate the occasion in true style from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June. The highlight of the limited-time menu is the indulgent Cote De Boeuf for Two (£90), a rich English dry-aged rib on the bone served with roasted garlic, herb salad, tomatoes, fries and béarnaise sauce. Designed for sharing, it’s the perfect showstopper for treating a deserving dad.
To complement the dish, the Smoked Negroni (£14) offers bold sophistication, crafted with Tanqueray 10 Gin, Campari and Antica Formula, theatrically finished with aromatic smoke. In partnership with Jo Malone London, each Smoked Negroni comes with a complimentary sample of the masculine Cypress & Grapevine fragrance.

New Opening: Chez Lui, Notting Hill

Opening on 16th June, Chez Lui from La Bistrot Collection by the Bagatelle Group, is bringing a refined slice of Paris to Notting Hill. Designed by Sam Baron, the intimate two-level space blends old-world charm with modern elegance—think velvet banquettes, antique mirrors, and candlelit tables.
The kitchen is led by culinary heavyweights Rocco Seminara, Manon Santini, and Pablo Segovia, who together will deliver a seasonal French menu with a contemporary twist. Dishes include chimichurri-glazed beef tartare, golden-fried purple artichokes, and a standout 72-hour brined roast chicken. For dessert, expect indulgent classics like Tarte Tatin and rum baba with pineapple.
With a curated French wine list, creative cocktails, and a stylish take on le goûter, Chez Lui is designed for relaxed, elegant dining. Whether you pop in for a glass of Sancerre or stay for dinner, it’s set to become a new Notting Hill fave.
Kitchen at Holmes – New Menu and Live Music

Kitchen at Holmes is welcoming summer with a vibrant new Mediterranean-inspired menu crafted by Head Chef Stefano Motta. Drawing flavours from Italy, the Eastern Med and North Africa, the menu showcases dishes perfect for al fresco grazing, a weekend brunch soundtracked by live acoustic music, and leisurely dinners beside the restaurant’s open-plan kitchen island.
Grill highlights include octopus with labneh, olives and smoked paprika, whole sea bream with green harissa and lemon, and presa Iberica with chimichurri. Expect starters like asparagus with whipped feta and purple prawns with pea hummus, while handmade pastas and vibrant salads round out the à la carte.
Every Saturday, enjoy the £25 set brunch menu with live music (June 7th, 14th, 21st) from 11.30am–2.30pm, featuring dishes like crab croquettes and vegan pancakes with lime mascarpone. The covered terrace is ideal for Italicus cocktails and bar snacks, with a secret rooftop for private dining. From brunch to late-night bites, Kitchen at Holmes is a true Marylebone gem.
One for the Diary – AKI Opening September

Aki London is set to open this September in a stunning Grade II-listed building on Cavendish Square. Marking the group’s first international outpost, the sleek Japanese offering from Malta’s Lifetstyle Group will bring a bold, contemporary take on Japanese cuisine to the heart of the West End. Inspired by the original Aki in Valletta—featured in the Michelin Guide for four consecutive years—the new London location will offer modern Japanese dishes, from classic sushi and robata to kushiyaki, all crafted with the finest ingredients and Maltese-style hospitality.
Signature cocktails will reflect both Japanese precision and Mediterranean flair, with highlights like the Rising Sun—Gin L’Arbre, Yuzushu, Bianco Vermouth, green tea ice and honey foam. The historic former bank has undergone a £15 million transformation, with a grand central dining hall, destination bar in the vaults, and a mezzanine level with private dining and a covered terrace.
Designed by renowned UK-based Maltese designer Francis Sultana, the interiors fuse historical elegance with contemporary style, featuring marble, glass, and curated art. With its sophisticated setting, elevated menu and innovative drinks offering, Aki London promises to be one of the capital’s most exciting new openings of 2025.
