New Opening: Beaufort Wine Bar at The Savoy
We’re ready for something pretty special this October and guess what? It involves two of our favourite things – WINE and one of the swankiest hotels in London – The Savoy. Beaufort Wine Bar opens on the 13th October offering up more than 250 wines from 18 countries making it the UK’s largest wine-by-the-glass programme. From rare Bordeaux to Grand Cru Burgundy, pair your vintage or champagnes with Jamón Ibérico, artisan cheeses and sharing plates, while live music adds to the evening atmosphere. Guinness Afternoon Tea at Homeboy
‘Top of the morning’ to Homeboy in Islington who have launched a class world-first Guinness Afternoon Tea which will be available every Saturday from October 10th. We’re not gonna lie, the line up sounds divine with Guinness soda bread topped with smoked salmon, as well as beef and Guinness stew, Irish beef sliders and mini Guinness cake. Priced at £45pp, or how could you resist the drinks pairing priced at £65pp?! with baby Guinness and Black Velvets on the menu, hotfoot it to Homeboy as soon as you can.
A £19.96 menu from The Ivy Collection
The Ivy ‘Cool-lection’ as we’re now affectionately calling them is celebrating 30 years of Cool Britannia as they throw it back to the nostalgic 90s with a decade inspired menu running until 3rd November. With two courses for only £19.96 (we see what they did there!) there’s some epic dishes on the menu ranging from 90s coconut curry to grilled robata chicken skewers. Add a dessert for only £8.95, or toast some of the best years of dance music with a Cointreau cocktail – the Spice Girls concoction is a little bit of us, or definitely maybe try the Champagne Supernova! New Opening: ALBA
Now this one sounds a little bit special indeed! How about pulling up a chair at ALBA’s 10 seat omakase counter on Brompton Road in Kensington?! (Try and say that after a sake or three.) Bringing a new Japanese concept to the table, you’ll be served hand-selected delights like uni, otoro, caviar and the day’s finest catch, course by course by Japanese head chef Takuya Kaneko (formerly of Zuma) with the menu created by Creative Chef Dmytro Pak.
New Opening: Juno
Get ready for an Italian celebration like no other as Juno opens on Hammersmith Road in Olympia this October. From aperitivo hour to ‘La Grande Festa’ every Saturday and a family sharing concept every Sunday, this is the sort of place you pop into for a quick bowl of pasta and find yourself staying at late into the night! Don’t miss Nonna’s Lasagne Tuesdays where every guest gets a second portion to take home complete with re-heat instructions! Named after the Roman queen of the gods and goddess of celebration, you’re in for a party alright. Book your table in the decadent grade II listed restaurant here.
Halloween & Day of the Dead at Los Mochis – Deliciously Spooky!
Celebrating three days of Mexican culture across Notting Hill and London City, you can always rely on Los Mochis to rise from the ashes with a frightfully good menu between 30th October and 1st November. From immersive décor to live mariachi, DJs and Halloween events, Los Mochis know how to throw the party, all you have to do is be there!
Two Michelin Greats Unite – Yannick Alléno x Jason Atherton at Pavyllon
Well doesn’t this sound fancy? On 26th October you can enjoy a star studded evening of Michelin giants as Yannick Alléno x Jason Atherton bring Pavyllon’s 2026 Counter Culture series to a close. This lavish six course collab will blend French precision and British fine dining for a memorable menu with standout dishes including King Crab leg with farmhouse cream and nori broth and A5 Kagoshima Wagyu beef with preserved truffle sauce. New Autumn Menu at TOZI
Autumn is the season for sharing at TOZI, Battersea Power Station with a new menu full of delights like roasted Delica pumpkin with pesto and mushroom arancini with black truffle. Porcini strozzapreti and truffle tortellini are new on the pasta list with larger plates including chicken Milanese and sirloin steak tagliata. Anyone salivating right now while reading?!
Meanwhile at TOZI Victoria, Tuesday to Sunday will showcase five regions with five different Italian pasta classics to celebrate National Pasta Month with dishes from Exec Chef Maurilio Molteni including Roman-style gnocchi with slow-cooked oxtail ragout and Sardinian pasta pearls and seafood in a tomato and shellfish broth.
50 Years of Langans and 1976 Prices!
And just like that, Langans Brasserie is 50! This awesome anniversary comes with a one day only celebration on 20th October as 1976 prices are reinstated! There’ll also be a live pianist plus a live band and then a DJ into the night. Expect a super nostalgic nod to five decades of decadent London dining and socialising at one of Mayfair’s most iconic restaurants!
Caviar House & Prunier x House of Rum
If you’ve a penchant for rum and caviar, this debut masterclass on 15th October was made for you! Cavia House and Prunier’s Piccadilly flagship is hosting this lavish pairing with Prunier Baeri Caviar and House of Rum’s Mauritius 2014 which was a Double Gold winner at the Internation Spirits Challenge. With welcome cocktails, canapes and a guided tasting led by the Caviar Master and Jaz Anand of Skylark Spirits, its priced at £65pp and you can grab your tickets here.
The Anthologist x Ronnie Scott’s
Well isn’t this a wonderful partnership? The Anthologist by Drake & Morgan is hosting legendary jazz institution Ronnie Scott’s for a month long Friday night residency this October. New Opening – Three Uncles, Kings Cross
Bringing buzzy vibes and their much-loved Cantonese roast meats, Three Uncles’ new restaurant opens in Kings Cross this October with a Hong Kong inspired siu mei concept. Neon lit interiors and a casual feel are guaranteed to be a big hit with fans of Three Uncles which was set up by three childhood friends paying homage to the famous roast meat cafes they used to visit as youngsters.
