Paradiso x The Donovan Bar
The Donovan Bar will play host to Paradiso for a special night takeover on 24th May. Barcelona’s secret bar hidden in a pastrami shop which was also named The World’s Best Bar 2022, will be heading to Mayfair, as Salavatore Calabrese aka ‘The Maestro’ and The Donovan Bar’s Director of Mixology Federico Pavan will showcase a specially created cocktail menu. Cinco de Mayo at Decimo
Celebrate Mexico’s biggest holiday in style with a special Cinco de Mayo night at Decimo at The Standard. Fernando Hernández from one of Mexico’s best restaurants Moyuelo in Puebla will be bringing an exclusive five course menu to Decimo for one night only which will showcase Pueblan dishes with Spanish flavours, Casamigos Tequila cockails, and live salsa and dancing. Other Cinco de Mayo celebrations are happening at Los Mochis Notting Hill,where Tokyo meets Tulum – here you’ll get a full week of festivities from Tuesday 2nd May to Monday 8th May. With two dishes created especially for the occasion – the soft shell crab taco and the tres leches cake which is a traditional Mexican three milk sponge, there’ll also be endless Tommy Margaritas where on average 280 a night are served – wow! On Friday 5th, there’ll be live performances from a mariachi band between 8-10pm.
Côte on the Square
Côte on the Square at Sloane Square has just opened – a Chelsea hot spot at Sloane Square. Showcasing a selection of the restaurant’s French inspired classic dishes created by Exec Chef Steve Allen and in partnership with Laurent-Perrier, there’s a special menu for lazy afternoons, after-work apéritifs with friends and weekend sundowners. Expect open air seating, gorgeous food and drink and twinkling lights – all part of the Summer in the Square initiative. Open now until end of the September.
Wisteria Wonderland at The Ivy Chelsea Garden
Until Sunday 28th May and to celebrate this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower show, Ivy Chelsea Garden has been transformed into a magical Wisteria Wonderland with a beautiful installation on the King’s Road. The restaurant’s façade is adorned with a stunning wall of wisteria which features woodland creatures and seasonal flowers.
The celebrations continue inside where the menu is featuring limited edition cocktails in collaboration with Lillet. Each gorgeous concoction has been uniquely crafted using seasonal ingredients and inspired by the magical theme. From the refreshing Lychee and Rose Spritz featuring Lillet Rose, Lychee liqueur and Prosecco, there’s also the Elderflower Spritz including Elderflower Cordial, Lillet Blanc, Prosecco and a dash of Rhubarb Bitters, and a seasonal spritz of Cherry Blossom, featuring Lillet Rose, Prosecco, Soda Water, Cherry Blossom syrup and Absinthe. For those with a sweet tooth, a special dessert takes centre stage! The Strawberry and Elderflower Trifle features layered Savoiardi Biscuits with strawberries, lavender and vanilla ice cream (£10.25). If you’re visiting the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, then be sure to pop in and try the special edition cocktails and dessert.
The Symphony Menu at M Canary Wharf
Running throughout May, guests at M Canary Wharf are in for a treat with a multi-sensory dining experience celebrating senses of smell and taste through texture, temperature and smoke! The special menu created by M’s Exec Chef Mike Reid will see diners enjoy six playful plates with a complimentary drinks pairing and a symphonic soundtrack create by DJ Woody Cook. Aviary’s New Spring and Summer Menus
With incredible views from the rooftop of the Montcalm Hotel, Aviary Rooftop Restaurant and Terrace bar have revealed the new spring and summer menus. With a carefully curated menu which uses meat sourced from small family-owned British farms, paired with killer cocktails, the new menus profile the best British produce and seasonality.
Sharing dishes include smoked cod’s roe polenta chips and anchovy soldiers, along with freshly caught oysters sourced from the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands, with starters including Lobster cocktail crumpet and tuna tataki. Fresh fish like Scottish halibut cockles, King Prawn and baby squid taglioni come direct from the Wright Brothers at Billingsgate Market, with prime cuts of meat sourced from Lyons Hill Farm in Dorset. Estrella Galicia’s Gastronomy Month
For the third year running, Estrella Galicia’s Gastronomy Month this May will offer tapas tours, masterclasses, tasting menus and Spanish fiestas, beer and bites and beer and food pairings, with a huge range of events to celebrate a a taste of Spain like never before! Fenchurch Restaurant at Sky Garden x Whispering Angel
