Someone should maybe tell the weather that it’s nearly Christmas! But not to worry, that means you’ve lovely warm temperatures in which to style it out for these awesome November events. From Thanksgiving to the World Cup and with Cava Discovery Week on the way too (any excuse to get the bubbles on the pour), here’s The Luxe List November.
Cava Discovery Week at José Pizarro
Become a cava connoisseur as José Pizarro celebrates Cava Discovery Week from 29th November to 4th December. In true Spanish style, you’ll get a real taster of the fizzy stuff with flights available consisting of Cava de Guarda, Cava de Guarda Superior Reserva, Gran Reserva and Cava Rosado. There’ll also be a very special evening with José Pizarro and wine expert Charlotte Kristensen at the Bermondsey restaurant on Tuesday 29th November, where you’ll get to learn all about and enjoy plenty of cava alongside a carefully curated special menu. FIFA World Cup at The Cadogan Arms
It’s the place to be with live screenings of all the World Cup matches at The Cadogan Arms. England’s opening game on Friday 21st November will be a special night with two extras screens being added to the main bar. Tickets starting at £50pp will include bar snack platter, main dish and two pints. Highlights on the special menu include The Cadogan Arms cheeseburger, ham, egg and chips, and beer battered fish and chips. The Den Re-Opens
Hidden speakeasy The Den in the basement of 100 Wardour Street has re-opened following a major re-furb. Once the site of the famous Marquee Club which saw performers like Fleetwood Mac and David Bowie take to the stage, The Den which is open Tuesday – Sunday from 5pm ‘til late, will feature live music on Thursday – Sunday each week, with a dazzling offering of innovative cocktails on the cleverly designed vinyl record menu. The Great Snow at Tattu London
Tattu London has unveiled its incredible winter installation – The Great Snow. With an Aurora Borealis inspired light show and festive drinks and and desserts, the campaign takes inspo from Northern China’s snow capped mountains and bright starry nights. With the main courtyard space dusted in snowfall and a Northern Light show transforming Tattu’s wall art. Enjoy a themed cocktail created by Millie Tang like the ‘Aurora’ cocktail made with Grey Goose, white chocolate and cherry, and feast on delights like Szechuan Rock Shrimp served with carrot, pancho pepper and pickle and Aromatic Crispy Duck Pancakes. Thanksgiving at Local & Wild Restaurants
Celebrate Thanksgiving on the 24th November with the Gladwin Brothers at the following restaurants: The Shed,Nutbourne, Sussex, Rabbit, The Fat Badger and The Black Lamb with a menu curated by Executive Chef Oliver Gladwin. The three courses will include crab with corn chowder, Yorkshire turkey parmo with black autumn truffle, and caramlised pumpkin Cambridge cream – a seasonal twist on the classic crème brulee.
Oblix at The Shard
Celebrate Thanksgiving in serious style this November with a special menu on offer at Oblix at The Shard from the 24-26th of this month. American faves on the menu which has been curated by Exec Chef Marcus Eaves will include jumbo prawn cocktail to start, followed by luxury caramelised turkey breast wrapped in pancetta along with stuffed chestnut and truffle and a tonne of seasonal sides, finishing with caramelised pecan pie with bourbon ice cream. In Oblix East, there’s after dinner drinks and incredible views of the city with twists on the cocktail menu. We’re loving the sound of the Banana Old Fashioned with Bulleit bourbon, Tillingmore 5 year old single malt scotch, banana, coconut and vanilla. Eataly’s Wine Festival
Running from the 3-5th November, Eataly’s hugely popular wine festival has returned, offering up a range of red, white and sparkling wines to taste, hosted by Italian wine producers sharing their knowledge and passion with guests. Tickets include an evening session to sample red, white or sparkling wines, with guests able to select either five or ten wines to taste, followed by an Eataly wine glass and pouch to take home, as well as 20% off on the retail market.
