A staple on the Luxe Bible calendar is London Cocktail Week and it’s here again from 13 – 23rd October! Liquid is your friend for a whole 10 days, so be sure to check out all the magic by grabbing your wristbands from the official website. Get ready to storm the cocktail villages, down copious amounts of £7 drinks, attend masterclasses, enjoy set dinner menus and discover brand new concoctions. From the art of the French 75 with Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru to Grey Goose’s Vive Le Vodka Martini Dinner on the 20th at The Cadogan Arms, hundreds of bars and brands are getting in on the action, and you definitely should too.
Day of the Dead Celebrations at Chotto Matte Soho
They’ve had a massive makeover and now Chotto Matte Soho are inviting you to join in their deadly celebrations from 24th October through to 6th November. The special menu will include Tuna Tartare, with avocado, pomegranate, chive oil and truffle salsa, Scallop Tiradito, with green apple salsa and aji sesame oil, and The Immortal Flame, a lime mousse cake dessert with hazelnut praline, and white chocolate candle which will be lit at your table for the ultimate immersive dining experience. There’ll also be a very special celebration on Saturday 29th October with a live DJ on the decks, while the whole restaurant will be decorated with candles – part of the traditions as ancestors return from the dead. Free Fizz at Searcys
Did someone say FREE booze?!! Indeed they did. Halloween at The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Something wickedly wonderful this way comes with Halloween celebrations at The Ivy Soho Brasserie! You can try the spookily delicious limited edition dessert and cocktail combo when you visit between Friday 28th and Mon 31st October including The Devil’s Mule (£10.75) featuring a collaboration with Monkey 47 Gin, along with Wyborowa Vodka, Lillet Rouge, chilli, cinnamon, lemon and ginger beer, or the Muertas Margarita – a deadly blend of Olmeca Altos Tequila, Malbec, pear and lemon juice. Meanwhile, the Chilling Praline Parfait (£9.75) offers up a spine tingling frozen hazelnut coffin with dark choc soil and raspberry sauce. Gaucho Day of the Dead Brunch
If you’ve ever been to a Gaucho brunch, you’ll know exactly what to expect, except this brunch is deadlier than ever. Halloween at Tattu London
Sunday, 30th October will see Tattu London, the recently opened modern Chinese restaurant featuring panoramic views over the West End, host its final inaugural ‘Sunday Sunsets’ event of 2022. Going out with a bang, and held on Halloween weekend, guests will be able to revel in high-octane DJ sets kicking off from 1pm, an exclusive Taste of Tattu menu offering and an array of limited-edition cocktails until late into the evening. Renowned DJ Fat Tony is set to headline the event, taking the helm from 6:30pm-8:30pm, as the sun sets on the iconic London skyline. Find out more and book here.
Game Season at Galvin
Upping the stakes at Galvin Restaurants this game season, you can expect a delicious set menu from Chris, Jeff and newly appointed head chef Leonid Semakin. Showcasing prime British game with venison and partridge on offer throughout October and November, the menu is priced at £68pp, bookable via the website. October’s feast will include daube of venison paired with ceps, piquant quince and spiced red cabbage plus smaller plates like wild mushroom risotto served with pumpkin seed oil. In November, there’ll be traditional Coq Au Vin of pheasant, with dishes along with wild duck terrine and fiery Cumberland sauce, and to finish, chestnut pithivier with marron glace ice cream. New Fancy Breakfast at Le Comptoir Robuchon
There couldn’t be a more stylish start to the morning than at Le Comptoir Robuchon in Mayfair who’ve just launched a fancy new breakfast menu honouring the legacy of Joël Robuchon.
This fabulous French affair will offer up an extravagant breakfast experience 8-11am Monday to Friday with a selection of patisserie and baked goods freshly made in the Boulangerie, fruits and dairies, fresh juices, and breakfast cocktails. For those who are after some extra fuel, feast upon Le Comptoir Robuchon’s famous eggs Benedict, French toast with maple syrup, vanilla crème fraiche, apple and walnuts; scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with an option for caviar; and omelette with choice of bacon, tomato, mushroom, comte cheese and baby spinach. The Mansion Secret Halloween Party
One of our fave Halloween parties have just revealed some of the details of their 2022 event. Taking place on Saturday 29th October, The Mansion’s exclusive ball will be held next to a graveyard (strictly off limits on the party night!), but this spine tingling spooky backdrop is just the beginning. New Opening – Nakanojo
Said to be the first Peruvian izakaya, Nakanojo opened back in July on the King’s Road Chelsea. This casual spot which sees guests enter a Peruvian jungle into a restaurant decorated with Geishas and a beautiful cherry blossom tree, offers up nikkei and sushi, dishes from the robata grill along with tacos and street food in a sociable setting. Serving up twists on some of the world’s most unique flavours finessed with South American flair, you can expect hero dishes like nikkei chicken kara-age served coated in chipotle mayo and red onion, the Taco Fiesta with fillings like pulled pork pibil, wagyu carne asada, salmon ceviche, tuna tartar, portobello tataki and shrimp baja; and ceviche maki which includes a unique range of seabass, mango salsa, avocado, mange tout and ceviche sauce.
