September has all manner of special treats in store including a new drinking, dining and dancing destination which includes a Casamigos Tequila and Mezcal bar, a new Moulin Rouge immersive experience, a tonne of new restaurants and rooftop bars and possibly the prettiest Afternoon Tea you’ve ever seen. New Rooftop Bar – PocketSquare Skyline Bar & Terrace
We love any bar that gives us great views of the city and even greater cocktails so we’re over the moon to hear about London’s hottest new rooftop terrace Pocketsquare which has opened on the 9th floor of the new Hyatt Place London City East Hotel. With inventive tipples which reflect the city’s history and culture, the gin-led bar is the perfect hangout if you fancy yourself as a bit of a cocktail connoiseur as these experimental drinks won’t be found anywhere else, and what’s more, they come with a paired bite-sized dish created especailly. The interiors meanwhile reflect East London’s art scene including work from London-based mural artist Jay Kaes. open Tuesdays to Fridays 5pm – midnight and Saturdays 3pm – midnight. The Ivy Market Grill’s Peacock Installation & Limited Edition Cocktails
Escape into Colour this September at The Ivy Market Grill where the entrance is now boasting a vibrant peacock installation in celebration of renowned British artist Chila Burman and her incredible neon art now on display on the streets of Covent Garden. Limited edition cocktails meanwhile, include the Aqua Haze priced at £10.75, with Patron Silver Tequila, Blue Curacao, lime juice, agave and a smoked rosemary sprig garnish and Firelite (£9.75) featuring a mix of Bacardi Spiced Rum, Triple Sec, orange and chocolate bitters, finished with flaming overproof rum and a marshmallow – perfect for toasting!
Late Summer Music Nights at The Nest at The Treehouse
The Nest at The Treehouse is teaming up with Ultimate Provence Rosé for a series of late summer music nights throughout September and October. Take in the spectacular 360 degree views, while enjoying some gorgeous food from the plentiful menu along with bespoke frosé served with fresh apricots or blackberries, created especially by Treehouse Hotel’s Beverage Manager, Aiden Page. Drinking, Dining & Dancing at New Opening – Percy’s
Kensington High Street’s brand new late night drinking, dining and dancing destination, Percy’s will open on 30th September, featuring a hidden Casamigos Tequila and Mezcal bar alongside the bar and lounge. With a playful feel, DJs, live music, delicious drinks, and food from Exec Chef Nick Wyborn (formerly of Mac & Wild), seasonal dishes will be served in Percy’s front room along with cocktails and champagne, before the secret door to the Casamigos den will throw open at an impromptu point during the evening, inviting guests to step into the unknown. George Clooney’s award winning tequila will of course be served at the Casamigos bar, along with the Percy’s signature – The Watermelon Mezcal Negroni. Pride at The Ivy Soho Brasserie
There’s no parade this year, but that won’t stop The Ivy Soho Brasserie from celebrating! From 10th – 12th September, diners will get to enjoy a neon installation, live entertainment, drag themed brunch and a limited edition cocktail menu with luscious libations like the Dream Kween ((£9.75), Plymouth Gin and hibiscus syrup, lemon juice, lychee liqueur, apple juice and egg white, and the Loud and Proud (£9.75), Chambord liqueur with amaretto, pineapple juice, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white. Black Cow Saloon Weekend Party

Covent Garden’s New Neon Light Installation
How cool is this? We’re hot footing it down to Covent Garden to check out this incredible neon light installation by British-Punjabi artist Chila Burman. ‘Do You See Words In Rainbows?’ will be in place until October for visitors to enjoy with a wonderland of coloured sculptures and uplifting messages. Plus for Pride, for every Instagram post celebrating identity captured beneath the neon wonderland, Covent Garden will donate to LGBTQI+ charity the Albert Kennedy Trust. Find out more here.
New Opening – Marugame Udon at the O2
Marugame Udon is opening this month at the O2. The mid-September launch will see the two floor restaurant with mezzanine area welcome guests to the open style kitchen. Faves on the menu include Beef Nikutama (£7.95), udon with beef and caramelised onions in a dashi broth with a poached Onsen egg and the Two Pork Tonkotsu (£7.45), udon with charsu pork, spicy miso pork mince in a rich tonkotsu style soup topped off with a poached Onsen egg. Chelsea Flower Show Afternoon Tea at The Athenaeum
In honour of this September’s Chelsea Flower Show, The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences, Mayfair have created a beautiful Afternoon Tea selection which will include a selection of sandwiches like avocado, grilled courgette, coriander and almond, and hot smoked salmon with spring onion and lemon sour cream. Among the homemade cakes, pastries and sweets will be a ‘purple sensation’ rose, lychee and raspberry mousse, and chocolate and blackberry ‘pink hydrangea’ as well as a range of fresh scones and the option to add on a glass of fizz. La Tomatina Special Menu at Aqua Nueva
One of London’s iconic rooftop terraces and restaurants is celebrating the Spanish tomato throwing festival with new exciting dishes on the Aqua Nueva menu. As part of the special a la carte offering, you’ll be able to order tomato based delights with a Valencian twist like the cured sardines and Penjar tomatoes on cristal bread (£12), chargrilled octopus, saffron potato & tomato foam (£18) and lamb cutlets, pickled cucumber, courgette & tomatillo sauce (£18). In an addition to the dessert menu, seasonal berry salad with hibiscus sorbet and pear and raspberry mousse (£9) will tickle the tastebuds! An accompanying cocktail the bespoke Tomatini (Tanqueray gin, apricot brandy, sugar syrup and freshly made tomato water) is guaranteed to spruce up dinner. The menu is available for lunch and dinner for the next six weeks.

From Saturday 18th September, brunch at Sumosan Twiga is heading Uptown! The perfect combo of disco, dining and glamour, you’ll get a range of epic funk, boogie and motown tunes set to the awesome voice of acclaimed singer Najwa along with a live saxaphonist. Moulin Rouge Immersive Experience at M Restaurants
You’ll think you’re in Paris with M Restaurants brand new immersive experience! On Saturday 25th September at M Victoria Street, The Moulin Rouge ‘Spectacular Spectacular’ show will serve up an unforgettable evening of entertainers and performers along with a theatrical four course menu including champagne on arrival, whipped cods roe and Ikura caviar, king fish sashimi and venison chateaubriand. New Opening – Piazza Italiana
Having originally launched in Moscow and then in Riga, Piazza Italiana has just opened on Threadneedle Street! Housed a grade II listed building, the opulent interiors combine the existing Edwardian architecture with modern touches. Expect full length mirrors, textured walls, bar counter, private dining room and casual dining area. Founder Victor Ravdive has collaborated with Sicilian born Remo Mazzucato to create the irresistable menu which draws on 50 years of experience. Signature dishes include sea bass carpaccio, ravioli king crab and tagliolini al tartufo.
New Opening – The Colony Grill and Le Magritte at The Beaumont Hotel, Mayfair
With The Beaumont Hotel having just opened it doors again, The Colony Grill has also relaunched, along with a new bar opening – Le Magritte. Head Chef Ben Boeynaems (previously of Petrus, The Goring and The Zetter Group, will be whipping up a storm with his take on steak, grill and shellfish dishes in the beautiful new look grill room. Traditional American bar Le Magritte Bar & Terrace has moved locations within the hotel offering classic cocktails courtesy of new Bar Manager Antonino Lo Iacono (formerly of Rules, Dukes and Mark’s Club).
New Opening – Manthan, Mayfair
Chef Rohit Ghai (of Kutir in Chelsea) will open Manthan in Mayfair early this month. The Indian restaurant on Maddox Street will draw on his experience in kitchens all over the world, with traditional flavours leading the way, as well as offering up a focus on vegetarian dishes. Abhi Sangwan of Trishna and Bombay Bustle has created a complimenting cocktail menu.
Celebrate BOMBAY SAPPHIRE’s Special Edition Sunset with Cocktails and Create Masterclasses
To celebrate the launch of the limited edition Sunset from BOMBAY SAPPHIRE, a series of Cocktails & Create masterclasses and Sunset Session Terrace Takeovers are happening in both London and Cornwall to celebrate! The immersive experiences will invite guests to slow down, relax and enjoy, exploring art and mixology and of course indulging in some gorgeous cocktails! Passoa Summer Sunset Rooftop
You can never have too many rooftop bars in a city as big as London and this one which is a result of Passoa’s cool collab with Vinegar Yard, is guaranteed to get you in the summer groove!
Bringing tropical vibes to London Bridge, the Passoa Summer Sunset Rooftop will be open until the end of September with an awesome sun deck and epic views of The Shard. Expect floral installations, playful Passoa swing and of course the pop-up bar offering delicious Passoa cocktails like the classic Pornstar Martini, Passoa Shandy and Passion Fruit Margaritas. Open Monday to Friday 5-1pm and Saturday and Sunday 12-10pm.
New Opening – Fatt Pundit
Indo-Chinese cuisine is coming to Covent Garden courtesy of Fatt Pundit who are opening their second site in September. There’ll be fresh new dishes and innovative cocktails to tickle our tastebuds, like Nepalese dumplings with beef, leek and chilli, kid goat, garam masala and cardomom, as well as Crab 65, saffron butter prawns and shredded chilli beef. Old faves like crackling spinach and lamb chops with black bean dust will also be available, while you can expect gorgeous concoctions from the bar like the Birds Eye Margarita made with birds eye green chillies and The Hakka Garden, made with peach, passionfruit, vanilla, black cherry and bergamot.
W London’s Advena Island Escape Experience
Definitely a hotel which likes to live on the edge, W London is inviting guests to experience the Advena Island Escape with a concept designed with artist Georgia Tucker. The immersive adventure integrates virtual and physical with a tropical paradise, swaying palms and giant pineapples in the hotel’s WOW Suite and a VR headset which will transport thrill seekers to a faraway exotic land with the innovative soundscape. Cocktails and desserts have been designed to compliment the experience and those that book the overnight stay package will get to experience the full whammy in their hotel or suite (available until 17th October), while up to six guests can book in for the 30 minutes experience for free until 12th September.
New – Isola by San Carlo
We’ve been hit by a whirl wind of new restaurant openings this month including the stylish, relaxed all day dining spot Isola by San Carlo. Opening up at St. Christopher’s Place (which makes it the perfect stop off for a bite to eat while shopping on Oxford Street), the two floor restaurant will feature a stunning a Rosa Pink marble topped feature bar and outdoor terrace. Interiors will transport guests to Southern Italy, while the menu draws inspiration from Sicily, Sardinia and Capri. We can’t wait to try the Tartufo e Porcini Ravioli – handmade pecorino and truffle ravioli with fresh truffle shavings, lobster spaghetti and whole seabass grilled or baked in Trapani salt.
Supperclub.tube Relaunch
Supperclub.tube has reopened at Walthamstow Pumphouse Museum, offering up a unique dining experience in a refurbished 1967 tube carriage. Latin American food is now being served by Head Chef Beatriz Maldonado Carreño (Bea) who originally hails from Bogotá, Colombia and has 15 years of culinary experience in her home country and in the UK. The current menu includes delights like ceviche ecuatoriano – hake and prawns cured in lime and chilli, tomato, red onion, and coriander, and asado – medium rare rump of beef, roasted corn fed chicken, chimichurri, cassava chips, balsamic glazed plantains. Prices start from £49pp for a 6 course tasting menu with veggie, vegan and gluten free options available.
